Market research is a systematic approach designed to capture your opinion. This can be your views on everyday products, to services you may have used, to your thoughts on politics. There are various forms of market research. IQR currently conducts surveys over the phone from our UK call centre.
Organisations and government bodies require the views from people in all walks of life. It is important to form a balanced and informed opinion on services, products and policy which is why your views are important. Market research is the tried, tested and unbiased way of gathering information.
Genuine market research does not involve sales in any shape or form and you will never be asked to pay to take part in studies. On occasions (dependent on the client) you may offered an incentive for providing your opinions. This may be monetary, in voucher form or if relevant you may be allowed to keep the product you are testing.
We conduct market research for various organisations. With customer satisfaction surveys your details will have been provided by the client commissioning the survey.
In some cases, clients will want to ensure that we speak to people from all walks of life on a random basis in selected areas in which case we use a method called Random Digit Dialling (RDD) where telephone numbers are randomly generated using computer software. With these surveys we do not hold any information about the people we are calling beforehand.

TPS is a service set up to prevent people from receiving unsolicited sales and marketing calls. TPS does not cover genuine market research calls. IQR is a market research agency: our calls are always to conduct genuine market research and we are therefore exempt from TPS.
However, you can still ask us to remove you from our list so that you are not called by us again. Please be reassured your number will not be passed on to any third party.
